The coefficient of variation, measuring the level of inhomogeneity in the healthy-liver compartment VOI, is displayed as function of effective 99mTc activity in the phantom. Blue circles refer to measurements acquired with 99mTc only, while green triangles represent measurements acquired with 99mTc in presence of 166Ho (dual isotope). The COV decreases with the square root of 99mTc activity, down to an offset which is assumed be present due to limited imaging resolution (independent of 99mTc activity). The gray dashed line depicts a fit to the data, where the offset was found to be 3.8%
