The images show the CT-based delineation of the in vivo prostate (black), the coregistered ex vivo contour (blue, ManReg method), and the result of applying the PET-based MI transformation onto the latter (green, ManRegMI). The largest shift (about 7 mm) in case of patient 1 places the ex vivo contour slightly into the rectum according to the CT image. However, the MI algorithm still yields a well-justified transformation, as such a shift can be easily explained as an inevitable consequence of a misalignment between CT and PSMA-PET (see Discussion)
