APT (left) and PET (right) images of a tumor and b ischemic stroke (MR and PET images are in each case from different patients). In tumors, an increased level of APT is observed, whereas decreased APT is seen in stroke. The PET tracers used were [18F]FET and [15O]H2O, respectively. Altered level of standard uptake levels are observed in the PET images in these cases. The PET images are shown exemplarily; therefore, we did not include any scale bars or quantification information
